As a dedicated and passionate event planner, Carter has developed her skills over the past decade through a combination of personal experience, professional development, and a desire to create a unique and memorable experience for her clients. 

Rooted in Southern hospitality, Carter creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for her clients’ guests by infusing her events with charm and elegance.

In 2012, Carter embarked on a journey of adventure and discovery with the Sustainable Living Roadshow, where she gained experience in sustainable living + festival event planning. 

Afterwards, she dove head first into following her own love story and planted roots in Santa Cruz. This is where she became an assistant wedding coordinator at Kennolyn Events, where she learned the basics of running a successful wedding or special event. She then moved on to Pasatiempo Golf Club as an Event Coordinator. Within a few years, she was promoted to the Director of Event + Catering Sales. 

With her wealth of experience and expertise, Carter decided to start her own event planning business, Honeysuckle Traditions, which specializes in gatherings for love + life.
