Carter is especially dedicated to couples who want to feel like guests at their own wedding — present, joyful, and free from pressure. With a humble, chill approach and an openness to non-traditional ideas, she supports the dreamers, the easygoing romantics, and anyone seeking a day rooted in intention, love, and a legendary celebration.

Over the past decade, Carter has developed her skills through a combination of personal experience, professional growth, and a deep desire to create weddings that feel unforgettable. Rooted in Southern hospitality, she brings a warm, welcoming presence to every event, infusing celebrations with both charm and elegance.

Her journey began in 2012 with the Sustainable Living Roadshow, where she gained hands-on experience in sustainable living and festival-style event planning. After following her own love story to Santa Cruz, Carter began her wedding career as an assistant coordinator at Kennolyn Events, learning the art and precision of seamless event execution. She later joined Pasatiempo Golf Club as an Event Coordinator and eventually rose to Director of Event + Catering Sales at the Hollins House. These years spent in fine dining and upscale events refined the calm, confident approach she now brings to every celebration.

Today, Carter is the owner of Honeysuckle Traditions, a boutique wedding planning company based in Grass Valley, CA. Dedicated to curating unforgettable weddings throughout Northern California, Honeysuckle Traditions is known for blending logistics and creativity to bring each couple’s unique love story to life.

As your wedding-day logistics fairy and vibe curator, Carter ensures a stress-free, beautiful experience. Whether you’re dreaming of a grand soirée, a luxury farmhouse celebration, or something uniquely your own.
